How my son's eczema inspired me to create a 100% natural skincare brand for families

When my son Tom was born in 2018, I was given lots of baby gifts from well-meaning friends and family. But when he developed eczema, I quickly realised that not all baby skincare products are created equal. After a visit to the GP and a prescription for a steroid cream, I started to explore the root cause of Tom's eczema.

Through my research, I discovered that many baby skincare products contain harsh chemicals and fragrances that can irritate delicate skin. I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a truly 100% natural skincare brand for families, with a focus on protecting babies and giving mamas peace of mind.

And so, Artio Skincare was born. Our products are made with only the purest, wild-harvested and unrefined organic ingredients, with no synthetic fragrances or harmful chemicals. We believe that nature has the power to heal and protect, and that's why we use ingredients like jojoba, coconut oil, and shea butter to nourish and soothe delicate skin.

Creating Artio Skincare was a labour of love, born out of a mother's desire to protect her child and help other families do the same. Our products have been carefully crafted with the needs of babies and mamas in mind, from our Baby Balm, which removes the need for harsh nappy creams, to our Baby Oil, which is perfect for safe baby massage and moisturising skin after a bath.
